Some of it wasn’t completely foreseeable

Chase, Vincent , Tyler would have all been back if not for Covid.

Most people don’t expect every player to leave at the same time and their starting QB to get hurt, their backup get accused of rape.

There were mistakes made for sure. Bo and Linehan were bad hires.

By the end of the season we were starting 1-2 guys from 2019. When Stingley was hurt and Marshall quit.

Aranda leaving was probably expected but I dont Think before 2019 he could have foreseen Brady getting an NFL OC job.

Fair assessment. I think most agree that O got complacent/distracted after 2019 and that paired with a bad string of events led to the 2020 results. If Stingley doesn't become a scratch the night before MSU I think we win that game. If Chase, Vincent and Shelvin don't opt out late into the summer we don't lose Mizzou either. If we don't lose Brennan I think we beat A&M. We could have been 8-2, but all of those things happened and we finished 5-5.

If you think about it our best defensive player, Stingley was hurt most of the season, best defensive lineman Shelvin opted out, best WR and offensive weapon Chase opted out, best slot CB Vincent opted out and 2 best remaining offensive weapons Marshall and Gilbert opted out later in the season. Add in losing your starting QB and it's pretty easy to see why 2020 happened.

A lot of people excused Jimbo for FSU tanking after losing their starting QB. That wasn't even in the same stratosphere as what happened to LSU last season.
