In my opinion, this story is really about philanthropy, altruism, and community betterment.

Actually it’s about white guilt, virtue signaling and attention seeking. Hence the publicity surrounding his decision to donate 5% of his royalties to wronged musicians of a bygone era. In my opinion, judging by the optics of popular music of today, these past atrocities has already corrected themselves.
