That's quite surprising indeed. Also, the Shield 2.0 comes in at 18.3oz from what I just looked up...
At .99" for the 2.0 vs 1.1" for the Plus, I'd imagine they had to take some poly out of the mold, especially in the grip area, in order to account for a wider magazine, so that might explain the less weight for a higher capacity gun.

That's not that impressive. All these claims were that it was "just as thin" had me ready for an upgrade, but 10% isn't insignificant. I just checked my M&P compact and it's 1.15 if you ignore the palm swells. I like the trigger but the rest is starting to look like marketing.
