Need large, wall-mounted shelves for my garage

They will go up really high and hold a good bit of weight so I need them to be sturdy.
Any recommendations? Do NOT care what they look like. Purely storage.

Shelf brackets mounted to studs and boards

You can buy large 90 degree shelf brackets to screw to the walls and put 1 x 12 shelving on them and screw them down so they don't move. Some of these brackets can just be bent at 90 degrees and others can have a diagonal added to them for more support for heavier loads.
Also, check out videos of how a "French Cleat" storage system works and see if that will fit your needs.

I built almost these exact shelves to my specifications. Used a lot of purple wood to keep the costs down. Purple wood is the clearance wood at Home Depot. They mark it down 70% when there are bowed etc. I think I used 5/8's plywood and made them a little deeper then normal shelves. They are really sturdy.

Lumber Rack
I have four sets of these. You can remove some of the arms to create a taller space and put a 1x12 on top of them to create a shelf.

And there lies the problem with cleaning up storage space by better organizing-------more crap takes its place.
My stepdaughter is now 30 and the wife still hangs on to kids movies on VHS tapes, children's books, 90's Archie comic books and assorted other shite that hasn't seen the light of day in over 15 years. I'm telling you, it's insane what some people think is important enough to keep.
