I don’t use them but I would like a set. I am accepting donations for a battery fund if you would like to contribute.
Pros:
significant weight savings, 8-10 year battery life
Cons: price, around $500.00 a piece is normal although I am sure there maybe some deals
You will have to have a digital charger if you don’t already have one.

Used a single 36V lithium in offshore boat for a rhodan. It worked fine, but they are expensive and had to have a 12V to 36v booster to charge.
Only real advantage I saw was it took up a little less space.

That’s what I am trying to do. Make room for the motors for a power pole. Don’t want to spend a lot of money on them if they aren’t worth it
Thanks

I have lithium’s in my boat.
Two things.
1) They ‘spensive
2) They worth it

I thought they were much more expensive than that. I was under the impression that the new setup from dealer would run about $3k over the standard 3-4 battery and charger package.

I have 3 12volts in my boat. 2 trolling motor and one starting. ran about $1100 for all of them including the charger. Bought them off Alibaba.com. 2 years on them an no issues.
Primary reason for swapping was weight in my poling skiff. Other advantages include, fast charge time and The ability to not drop voltage while at low battery %. They also theoretically last 3000 charges with only 20% lost of capacity.

quote:That's the normalish price for 1 12 volt. Just checked one of the lower priced places(impulse), and whether you go one 36 volt or 3 50AH 12 volts, you're looking at minimum $1,000. Ionic's 36 volt is $1,600. When going 3 12's, a lot depends on whether you go 50ah or 100ah, obviously.

I am probably going to buy two 12 volt 50 ah batteries soon.
