Yep. In each knee. Had them both cleaned out in 2014 as I couldn't stand it anymore. One had been torn since about 1985 and the other 2013 and I couldn't run or sleep without being in pain of some sort. AND it was worse at night.
And the buckling sounds like it could be ACL as well. Husband tore his ACL and MCL skiing December 2019 .. surgery in January 2020 and he's still not quite 100%.
Not sure I'd ski on it ... good luck.

Mine was MCL and meniscus and my knee still wobbles 15 years later, never had surgery but it doesn’t hurt anymore. These were very small damages
