I am thinking of trying a trip soon. Has anyone had any recent success? Are the canals near the lake biting or the tank battery/Halpin area?

Theriot canal launch was full this week. No idea how anyone did
We went a few weeks ago from Kramer side and it was slow for us and a couple guys we talked to.

There was a tourney out of there Saturday. May have been the reason for the crowd.

Don’t know about recently, but a buddy hammered them in early February

A buddy of mine caught his limit of nice one’s one day last week. Next day he caught 16.

Heard they only have one area in the lake that has grass - near the little lake side of the lake. Most of the good bass reports have been from people flipping cut grass in the canals. I have heard some incredible bass reports, though.

Lake Bouef has no grass, it all moved to Lake Fields and Lake Long.

Yeah, I heard multiple reports of people catching in Lake fields.

Lockport is so hit or miss. It's great about 20 days a year. The rest is below average at best.
