We need to go back to looking at intent. 99.99% of people who have sung the song the past 100 years did so to show their pride towards Texas, UT and, UT Sports. At what point does this usage overtake whatever spotty past that can be linked to the song
Truth be told, "Eyes of Texas" is probably MORE of a rallying cry for racists now than it was 2 years ago because now they have a reason to gravitate towards it

UT trying to play both sides and stringing the story along has brought out the worst in everyone on this.
