He had the choke in decent and would have sunk it deeper but the other dude's homies jumped in and he had to transition to the leg lock.

Yea shows what people have said on here in other threads about it. BJJ is good one on one but if friends jump in you’ll get messed up. I think it’s good to learn BJJ but also learn straight up boxing, even if it’s more on the side. At least those guys didn’t attack him. I went down a rabbit hole during ice storm and some of the BJJ folks were pissed to see him talking trash like that, but supposedly he really is in BJJ, but made quite a few mistakes, that would be hard for someone like me to notice

Nowadays, if you're a BJJ practitioner, you probably have an MMA background as well, so standup striking is par for the course.

he looked to be cocking off and antagonizing the black dude...I see why BJJ people may have gotten pissed at him

I agree with this. If you are on your feet you can dodge or run away if needed. When you are entangled on the ground, like this guy here, a twelve year old in boots can walk over and kick you into next week. Who was to say the big guy breaking it up didn't just start whaling him in the face? He was totally exposed.
