Agreed. It has already evolved from Satoshi’s vision to what it is now. The adoption is resounding and when the earlier forks failed in their attempts at adoption, it only strengthened its foundation for the future.

Bitcoin’s most bullish thesis is being adopted by institutional investors as an alternative asset. not having a foundation or a CEO to change the protocol is incredibly appealing and nothing like it exists in the space
aggregate DeFi is orders of magnitudes smaller but there's def money to be made there too

Can I buy VYGVF on TD ameritrade? I am running into issues with the purchase.

Glad you agree there is no real due diligence being discussed here
So how about you stop being an a-hole and post your DD?

there is a price target for this bad boy at $50, which is double what it is now. I think i might take a chance on this on a down day.
Talk me out of it.

The bear case is that Coinbase isn't worth nearly 100 billion which a lot of people believe.

likely not but that doesn't really matter with tech stocks. but it's pretty rare that ipos escape a dump after their initial listing. guess we will see

I've read a number of articles about COIN and a lot of people think the 100B valuation is insane. I think a lot of people trying to determine what VYGVF is worth are basing it off of that. That's my bear case.
I have some VYGVF but it's probably not a long hold for me. Not all of it at least. I was just playing the crypto run up lately.

There isn’t enough money in those other sources. The US stock market plus the global stock market plus the US debt plus global debt doesn’t get you halfway there.

thats a lie, off the top of my head, bitcoin will demonetize at least 20% of each of these
11T gold
4T silver
20T art/collectibles
240T in real estate
100T in stocks
275T domestic bonds
20T off shore banking
and like i said, we live in a monetary expansion environment, how much money have they pumped into the system in the last year alone? you are attempting to calculate the future marketcap and drawing conclusions based on the current supply of money in the world
you really should not be a financial advisor, its actually a shame that people pay you to be one when i can do it better than you as a hobby

Says the guy who thinks 20% of all of those markets is 1.2 quadrillion.
![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)
If BTC had 20% of all of those right this minute it would be about 11% of the way to 1.2Q. There will not be a 10x growth of all of those markets in the next decade.
Just admit that you didn’t do the math when you flippantly said BTC will have annualized growth of 100% in the next decade.
Posted on 4/14/21 at 7:55 am to slackster
i said at least 20% bud, some of it will almosst completely be demonetized like negative-yielding bonds and they printed 23% of all the money ever...last year alone
