I did read the article, and I still think that it's horseshiat that every offense now is newsworthy. It was a fricking minor issue that would have been resolved in 5 minutes, likely with something being comped (and ding ding we have another clue, a segment that things every meal should be comped if there was any disservice like speed, etc....)

OMG I'm offended that a tip was added and some waiter that makes dick was worried about getting a $2 tip.

I dated a girl back in 'th day that waited tables at a high end restaurant. They knew the apple martini crowd was going to leave shiat for tips, if anything at all, and nobody wanted to wait on them. It wasn't because they were black, it was because black people of a certain type don't tip well. You know it and I know it to be true. I get why this happened, and all the customer had to do was complain and get it resolved, but here we are... it made the news.
