Trump will be 78 in 2024, right? If he was to get elected, he would be president into his 80s. He seems sharp enough mentally to pull that off at this point in time. However, things can change quickly for people in their late 70s. Desantis is not only a great candidate, but would be more in his prime come ‘24. I agree with this ticket, perhaps with the backing of Trump.

McConnell is currently 79.
Fienstein is 87.
Grassley is 87
Orrin Hatch was 84 when he retired in 2018.
Richard Shelby is 86 and retiring in two years.
Inhofe (Oklahoma senator) is 86.
Pat Roberts (Kansas senator) is 84.
Cochran (Mississippi Senator) is 84.

There are several others in their late 70s and 80s.

I think everyone is scared of the age thing because of how bad Biden looks. Trump is very sharp and could easily work into his early 80s as long as he’s healthy, which appears that he is as of now.
