High Point in Belle Chasse is absolute worse place I ever shot.
1/2 of stations did not work,
grounds not keep,
literally grass looked ready to be hayed.
Had to buy their shells, and rounds was still expensive as hell.

Agreed, I was a member at High Point for a year when I lived in Belle Chasse. If two thirds of the machines worked in a day it was cause for celebration. But if you live on the West Bank it was better than driving to Houma or Covey rise for a quick practice round.

Sad because as a kid in the late 80's, my Dad had a membership there and we'd go almost every weekend. It was more of a club than just a clay shooting range. Every weekend dozens of families would go out there. Go shooting, cook amazing foods at the clubhouse and just stay there all day enjoying life. Grounds and equipment were always pristine and fully operational. It was some of the best times I ever had back then. The owner then got greedy and tried to start doing quail hunts on the property. Got busted for baiting the fields. My dad went on 1 hunt and the guides had to walk up to the birds and kick them to get them to get up off the bait.

Since then it's changed hands many times and closed down several times and it's a shithole from what I hear.
