There was no reason to hit Soleimani and there is no reason to hit Assad

Assad is not "a brutal dictator" and we all know it

Little redhead Hitler bitch is the current spokesperson for brutal dictators

There were 100s of reasons to hold Soleimani. He literally was the architect behind VBIED and IEDs that killed Americans. He also was the regimes bag man for paying foreign fighters in Iraq.

Not to mention he was in Iraq at the time of the strike with no real business being there. Nearly a NOC type event.

We want Assad out so Hezbollah's position in Lebanon will be weakened, even though Assad is the only thing standing between an ISIS caliphate in Damascus. The American political establishment is putting the interests and safety of Israel ahead of its own citizens, who have been killed by ISIS-inspired individuals in multiple terrorist attacks. And yet we still consider Israel our greatest ally. They're laughing at our utter naivete and stupidity.

Meh, dude was responsible for many armed conflicts after the Cold War ended, particularly in Europe and SW Asia.

And, everybody targets Assad. He's a second generation, cult of personality dictator and along with his father, responsible for 10s (100s?) of thousands of deaths over the years.

Assad can be reasoned with, however. And all our interventions over there has bought us exactly jack squat, so less is more, addition by subtraction.

So, while I am in general agreement with your broader point that we should back off over there as much as possible, saying "No reason" excuses murderous behavior at the intensity of Hitler, Stalin and Mao, but without the scope or bodycount.

If you ever had a friend, loved one, or fellow service member killed by an EFP you'd probably feel different.

That asshoe deserves to die about 200 times.
