I think it just takes a little success. I was so intimidated by it at first. After I found a couple good tops and got some bites, I was set.

Now onto bass. I have not caught bass using it yet. I think tomorrow is the day.

fricking Dudley. Dude is hooking rods on his deck, stepping on them and stroking out in general.

I throw on a 1/16 oz bullet weight

I think any weight takes the erratic behavior out and makes them sink too fast but that's my opinion

Where I fish it's 3'/4' water with grass about 2' under the surface, I want the senko to stop on top of the grass if possible then twitch it in gap between the surface and grass.

Hopefully I get out tomorrow

Same. You don’t jerk the shite out of the rod fishing a senko. At least I don’t and have good hookup ratio as long as you are using the right hooks

That’s all gonna depend on the hook though, the hook depends on the line, and the line depends on the cover. No one way to fish a wacky rig, it’s as versatile as it gets. I throw it on everything from a ML spinning setup to a flipping stick.

Yep. I fish both weedless and open hooks. I’ve tried regular j hooks and smaller octopus style 1/0 and 2/0. It also depends on the cover and how you fish it. I rarely add weight unless I want to fish deeper and don’t have patience for the long free fall.

I’m trying to develop more patience with the spinning rig completely weightless with a baby hook but it’s tough when I have confidence and accuracy with a casting rig, but no doubt it catches fish.

I went with spinning so many years ago. That's all I throw it on.

For years all I ever did was pitch a baby brush hog Texas rigged with a light weight to pond banks, so I have a few casting setups that will make a full sized senko fly. Really light line is a pita on the casting reels though so I’m trying to work backwards.

I’ll say this about the Live Scan stuff....IMHO it should be outlawed.
It’s basically fishing a video game. Fish not following the lure?...change lures. Watch him hit on the screen..set the hook...horsechite

I’m not a fan of what it has done to bass fishing. Much as the A-rig is illegal for lot’s of tourneys, so should this live scan tech as well.

As they said on the show, golf tech got too crazy and had to be reigned in. So should this technology.... in tournaments at least. JMHO

I can see it both ways. On a massive lake with minimal practice time they still have to find the fish, which takes as much skill as anything. It’s an even field as far as tech goes and some guys still strike out, but I do think it takes something away from the game. Something to be said for bass fishing where you can be 99% right, have a fish nose down on your bait but never know it cause that 1% made them not bite.

I agree - I've been obsessed with Bass fishing since I was 5-6 years old , my grandparents had three ponds and I wore them out with a zebco 33

This shite ain't fishing, they would have all been beating the banks today without it.
