Rainbow bridge with traffic both ways is the only time i have been scared going over a bridge.

I was on my way offshore at Sabine Pass early one morning and when I passed over the Rainbow Bridge there was someone walking up it from the east side. I found out later that the person had jumped off the bridge and committed suicide.

jesus, i always heard as a kid it was a popular spot to do that.

I dont mind rainbow anymore now that its only one way. Dont like it, but dont freak either.

when i was a kid and traffic was both ways with no median and no center divider, i would lay in back seat if we had to cross it.

I cross over I-10 in LC almsot daily and it doesnt even phase me. Been stuck on top for hours and didnt even have a care in the world. Last time was after an LSU game at 2am and someone was doing exactly what you described in the south bound lanes so they shut the whole bridge down. This was after being stuck on atchafalaya bridge for hours.
