And where would that come from, if it were true, any agency in particular? And couldn't it be argued that the insurance industry has a financial stake in not accepting positions like Gates? (I'm playing devil's advocate)

There are several world-wide insurance periodicals.

No. It’s literally the opposite. Insurance corporations would lose BILLIONS if global climate change were to flood coastal properties. Underwriters and actuaries are paid a lot of money to figure this out. And, not one of them have.
