Because the government is printing cash and sending checks to everyone for doing nothing, and the Fed is keeping rates ( which would naturally rise as the value of money is diluted) from rising.

This has been like a vacation for a bunch of people. Making people go back to work and get back in the routine, well, that could actually cost them some votes. Haha
