I know he was a generational performer....but he opened so many eyes...and so many wish to follow in his shoes. We may never have another like him....but who will be the one to try???

There isn't one. That's like characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe asking, "Who is the next Iron Man?"

The most consistent motherfricker you know, Dave Smith.

I doubt anyone is inclined to try given the current state of cancel culture.

Tucker is the closest thing to Rush but he is all TV. I think Ben Shapiro could take up some of the slack on radio post Rush but he doesn’t have the voice Rush did. I wonder if Stein will be brought in full time to keep EIB up and running with Rush’s built in audience. If not it will be interesting to see if Glenn Beck tries to move to the noon spot now that Rush is gone. RIP Maha Rushi.

There already are and will continue to be some pretty good conservative talk show hosts but there won’t ever be a next Rush. Just like there was never a next Johnny Carson.
Glad we had him for the years we did.

Sad to say, conservatives will be left with a permanent empty void. I just don't see anyone on the horizon that can come close to checking all the boxes that made Rush so unique...

I’d like to see Dan Bongino in the role.

Talk radio is a spectrum.
You have guys on the talking point wing, who are good at repeating canned talking points, but bore the hell out of thinking men. Sean Hannity is a great example. He bores the hell out of me. All he does is shout canned talking points over and over with sound clips and quips. Boring.
You have your motivators. They are good at rallying the base and great to listen to on a good news cycle, but like talking point heads, their content doesn't have a lot of depth to it. Dan Bongino fits this mold. I love to listen to him to get fired up or relish in a political victory like Trump's acquital, but sometimes I want more depth.
Ben Shapiro is great when it comes to being a "thinking man's" talk show - he is coherent and makes you think. The problem with him is he is a bit too Conservative Inc. and often is a bit too thinking man and forgets to see the big picture.
Mark Levin is more of a thinking man's program, but there is a reason he is on in the timeslot he is - he is not a natural broadcaster. He is more of a cleanup hitter, and he calls himself that. Tie all the lose ends for news that happened throughout the day. He would not work well in the time slot Rush had.
Where Rush really shined is he could fit any role that was needed. His opening monologues were great for thinking men, and he was really good at articulating concepts with depth and meaning. He could rally the troops when needed, be a motivator when needed, and even jump into the talking point/quip world if he really wanted to. He was born to be a broadcaster.

Mark Levin is now our leading voice. Bongino may be an up and coming one.

How could Jordan Peterson be coerced into doing it? He’s brilliant at neutralizing bullshite.

I’d like to see Andrew Wilkow get a shot.
