I did. Now I only care about what's good for my family and job.

I'm extremely blessed that I retired at the end of last year and will never serve a day in uniform under this administration.

Why would anyone be patriotic/loyal to the federal government? I don't owe that government a damn thing.

I believe in and love what America once was, and what it could be again. That’s my patriotism.

Same here, except my son came to that conclusion on his own. He was prepared to join the Navy when he graduated high school this May, but says he will not serve with Joe Biden as C-in-C. My son knows Biden and his ilk will get us back into pointless, endless war. He was more than ready to serve under Trump the Peacemaker, however.
