Yeah im reading that now. Weird though. To see a big arse black cat with a long tail... huh. Or just really dark brown fur...

A large feral tom cat can appear very big. Also, shadows and bad eye sight are a factor.

I would think they do see black but its because of shadows and dim lighting. I've seen pics of "black" panthers from out west where they all the sudden become brown when they get closer or they step into the sunshine.
