Senate will call Witnesses- but haven’t decided how many

I happened to be picking up my grocery order during the argument on this issue in the Senate so I was listening - with some interruption.

To summarize bc this shite happened so fast and some missed, Baskin moved to call witnesses in his show trial bc of the “surprise” witness who is a member of the House of F#cking Representatives who was constrained by unforseen forces from presenting her information and contemporaraneous notes taken during a massive insurrection while voting to move forward with this idiotic show trial.

Today, after Baskin the Insufferable spit all over the
microphone and asked for just one witness via Zoom, Trump’s lawyer (Van Der Veer), got up and said -(Im paraphrasing) that this is stupid. You are now adding random shite to your articles of impeachment, and you did it bc you realized how bad you screwed up your case by not doing any actual investigation. He then said, if you want witnesses, I’m fine with that - but the way this actually works in the real world is this shite won’t be limited to one witness on Zoom. We’ll subpoena hundreds of witnesses, including Nancy Pelosi and Kamala Harris to my office in “Phillydelphia” (that’s a phonetic spelling of how he pronounced it).

The Democrat assholes started laughing. Whereupon Van Der Veer chastised them, told them it wasn’t funny and he showed them the respect not to laugh at them. That they disregarded the entire constitution and all kinds of other good shite that made me want to run thru a wall.

Then, they took a vote on whether to have witnesses. Most Rs Voted No, including Cassidy and Turtle. The usual RINOs voted with the DeMarxits.

Ms. Lindsey changed his vote from no to yes at the last minute and then Ron Johnson began trying to clarify whether there was a limit on the number of witnesses.

Leahy of the Living Dead, refused to allow a clarification. The motion to call “at least one” witness has passed. Apparently the exact number of witnesses will be determined by subsequent votes.

FTR: I think they should have witnesses - but there shouldn’t be some arbitrary limit of the one fricking Democrat Congresswoman Leftists decided will help them providing self serving testimony. I do not see how the Rs in the senate can stop this from happening and call actual witnesses instead of just Democrat Congresspeople. I mean this is communist level shite. The prosecutor is also a witness. Give me a fricking break.

Trump’s lawyers have to take the constitutionality of this matter to a real court. Not sure how they get there- but it is clear that the courts do have the power of reviewing whether an action of the legislature is constitutional. See: Marbury v. Madison
