There are places online that you pay, anywhere from $100-$200, and they sit up an online, zoom type, meeting with a real doctor. Usually in a different state. Who then signs off on a medical marijuana card. Some people's meetings have lasted 5 minutes. Others less than a minute. I guess it depends on the doctor but I don't think they turn too many people away. Then you have to pay the state like $50 for the license. You have to do this process every year. It doesn't auto renew.

It actually can depend on the state. Some states require that the doctor be licensed in the state, others don't.

Those places you're referring to don't turn people away, they're literally in business to give people licenses. But the thought of just going to your regular doctor to get a cannabis script is a fallacy.
