Realizing a ton of people are flying this weekend so starting this in attempts to consolidate flights/delays/waivers with the snow and ice expected across much of the country. We got snow here in WA lowlands today, nice dusting but also made for some delays at SEA. Post in here if you've got any issues this weekend and hopefully myself or someone can help out

As of Monday morning, American, Delta, Southwest and United have waivers up. Pretty much everywhere has Dallas, Houston, and the surrounding area. Mid-atlantic cities have now been added for the next few days on United.

Bumping this thread, noticed United posted a waiver for today and tomorrow for anyone flying through or originating in the midwest. Mostly IN, IL, WI, MI

Delta also posted a waiver for the pacific northwest- Seattle, Oregon, etc.

I got an email for my AA flights. I'm gonna hold what I've got and hope for the best. We fly aex to denver at 4 today with a quick layover in dfw.

Flying back Monday . Same route back just longer layover.

Today you should be good, although your AEX-DFW is running a bit late on the earlier legs so your connection may be reduced a bit. Use this link to track the inbound flight, looks like the flight before yours is getting in about 20 minutes late within an 8 minute scheduled turn which won't happen. Hopefully it can make up some time on the way back to DFW. If you don't end up making the 6:50pm flight, there is still another one leaving at 8:45pm so you should be okay as long as there is availability.

Your flight back monday is going to be the issue, looks like the storm is hitting monday morning at DFW so likely delays in the network the rest of the day. Weather looks okay for monday afternoon/evening.

I thought American had waived change fees for good all domestic flights anyway back in 2020?

ETA..Okay, now I see. The no change fees instituted in 2020 didnt include basic economy...the storm waivers do.

Flying out of XNA in northwest Arkansas Tuesday morning. No travel alerts from American yet even though we are under a winter storm watch and there's a forcast for 10 inches of snow. How far out does AA typically issue travel alerts?

I wouldn't wait until tomorrow, fly into Denver tonight and make your way there. Otherwise they could easily cancel your flight tomorrow again and you're in the same spot.

Eta: Are you talking about AA 784?

Sorry I missed this earlier. If there's 10 inches of snow, AA will definitely have a waiver that I'd expect them to post soon. Speaking of, time to check for an update on all the airlines...

ETA: Southwest has joined the party, posted their waiver for Texas and Oklahoma for this coming Sunday/Monday.

Nope we’re hosed. All flights to Denver are booked up. We would have to cancel our confirmed flight to eagle tomorrow to try to get on standby for Denver tonight, and it looks like rental car availability is very limited or completely booked.

Time to hit the bar.

We made it from den Airport to keystone. Scariest drive of my life. Snowing its arse off and could barely see the roads once we got about 20 miles out.
