I've had tendonitis and it acted like that. According to the physical therapist, increased blood flow can help to relieve the pain. Hence exercising "loosening" it up and it feeling a little better. But at the same time, it's not fixing the issue and could even continue making it worse. Long runs would hurt at the beginning, feel good once I warmed up, then back to pain again once I pushed it a little too far. Just never knew when that "too far" line would pop up. I'm no doctor, but in my very limited experience, it points to some sort of inflammation.

i know i have been hurting way more than usual.

I have only been training 3 days a week, due to be out of town hunting Thursday to Sunday. I can can tell you the days i don't lift i hurt pretty bad.

Now that the season is over i will be back to 4-6 days a week. i hope this helps. and like someone else said, it sucks getting older.
