Michigan only gave us 3,000. We sold all those plus many others bought some on their own. How many fans do most visting SEC teams bring?

In the SEC it is mandated how many tickets you must make available to opponents. I don't know the exact number. I would guess 6,000 - 8,000. Someone on this board knows, I'm sure. OOC BCS conference opponents probably offer each other the same, because it is usually a home and home situation. But OOC opponents such as yourself will not get as many as our SEC foes receive.

I'm talking about Mcneese state's game against UNC this year. I believe the guy posting was a McNeese fan. I doubt they will bring more than 3,500 but I may be wrong.

Way more than you guys, don't kid yourself.

But have a good time in Baton Rouge, I hope you guys have a great trip - all except for the game.

Just to clarify things, when I went to McNeese I tried to go to two games. The first was horrible as in it couldn't compare to a real game. So I tried one more thinking that maybe it would be better, wrong. I wouldn't blame McNeese for bringing more fans because they need to know what it feels like to have blood pumping through your veins when there are 100,000+ rabid fans that want to explode when the pregame is played.

I'm just sayin...

x 800 ????

Judging by your Beverly Hillbilly's pic...
Your math is wrong. It should be "x 1000"...unless you're counting the hound dog...then your math is just about right!

I went to the LSU-North Carolina game in 1985 in Chapel Hill.It was nice, but not as 'marvelous' as it was made out to be. The Tar Heel fans 'like' football, but you can tell basketball is their thing.

SEC teams usually get about 7500 tickets allotted to them. Other than Vanderbilt and Kentucky, they usually sell out their allotment for games at LSU. Arkansas might be an exception, since that game is always the day after Thanksgiving and some people have plans with family or go hunting.

Ole Miss, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee always sell out their allotments and bring a lot of fans. Mississippi State generally does, I think, and South Carolina had a good crowd in previous years, but I wasn't at last year's game so I don't know if they did or not.

We may bring only 3000 to 3500 but my prediction is we will leave with 10 times that amount....

Jethro is gettin' the oil changed and we checkin' the air in the tars for the ride down yonder. Hope it don't rain. We could get wet on the ride to Baton Rouge. Jethro figured it would be a 3 day ride in the ole truck.
