And on a more serious note:

Frank Stitt has done some wonderful things in Birmingham - I think BR could be more like that. BR could also be more like Austin - although I’m not necessarily in favor of that. Especially since plenty of people visit bc it’s the state capital and LSU/Southern. I’m not saying BR has to be NOLA - but where is the fine dining? There are so many possibilities because of the type of town it is - but they seem to be lost.

The people getting cheap margaritas at the several restaurants that I know of are not Greek Pledges. They might be parents of Greek pledges.

You have to realize - just because you do not act that way - doesn’t mean others don’t.

BR certainly lacks in high end dining establishments but to blame it on cheap booze is lunacy

It has nothing to due with cheap booze from a fine dining standpoint in BR. You missed the point that people who are looking for fine dining options are not aspiring to be Greek pledges nor are the parents of Greek Pledges has any relevance to with the topic at hand.

On the contrary, when people dine out, price point for wine is only a formality and not an absolute.
