We are able to do 1,000 vaccines a day easy at our hospital locations. Instead, daddy govt loves to send these to pharmacies who are completely overwhelmed We could easily handle doing 20,000 a day system wide
I was told by someone today (50’s, health issues) that they signed up and got the first shot on Friday and were able to get scheduled almost immediately. They didn’t disclose the vax site location. They also said they were the only person there at the time and tons of appointment slots were available at this location. Obviously this is anecdotal, but I’m certain this person would have travelled to any location in the BR area to get the shot. Does this sound like an issue that is happening in only certain locations? Hospitals vs, Walgreens, etc? Demographics? I’m genuinely curious why I’m hearing some are having difficulty getting appts and some are able to walk right in and get vaccinated.

Bump. I’d really like LSUPride87’s feedback on the above post.
