Here is the current predicted track of the GFDL: Gustav tracking straight into New Orleans at this time.

if the game is still on(which it should be)and that 'cane is only two days or so away from hitting us, it will be hysteria in br..we had to drive through there on our way to alex to get away from katrina, and it took us 4 hours just to get through the city on the highway..
Im just hoping that area of low pressure hangs around florida for a couple days longer..those floridians can take another hit and not cave in..if that shite hits NO, well you know...

Yeah, could be the Killshot if that track holds.

You guys get pretty worked up, about a hurricane that is a week away from any landfall.
I live on the coast in North Carolina, I want the hurricane track to be right on us a week out...they are never anywhere close a week away.

I can sense the Corps arse puckering up big time right about now.......IF that hits NO, the potential levee system failures will expose even more administrative issues. At the very least I believe the evacuations and preps will be far more organized and effective this go around.
Man, I have a real bad feeling (like I did with Katrina) about this one........

GGASU..
When you get your house blown away by a previous storm, you usually keep more than just an occasional peak at an oncoming storm, especially one of this apparent magnitude.

I didn't mean any disrespect...all I was saying is that if I got worried over every storm that may or may not hit my house...I would drive myself crazy.

oh no it's cool..i mean i didnt fret over fay or whatever,it's just that this one looks to be extremely strong wherever it goes, especially since it is gaining strength and will continue to do so once it reaches the open gulf, plus, many tracks have it going between Louisiana and Alabama. Idk, i guess i just have to pray and hope it doesnt hit anywhere near here or La. I have tons of relatives in the BR area.

Discounting your use of "never", this was somewhat true several years ago, but the models have become much more accurate. They did a very good job with Fay after it crossed Cuba, and that was one of the trickiest storms in a long time.
If the models were in complete disagreement on Gustav's projected path, you might have a valid point. However, that is not the case here.

I hope it doesn't affect LSU games or practices
You are a freaking douche bag. How about if it affects people's lives.
