I
I would agree, but for the fact the OL had their share of struggles last year...yet no one from that class was apparently good enough or ready enough for the coaches to try someone else. That may not have been more evident than in the Florida game. Hines gets hurt. Wire came into replace him. Then, Deculus goes down. Marlon Martinez, a true freshmen, gets inserted at GUARD kicking Wire out to tackle. And this wasn't a game against McNeese St. This was a game against a top 5 opponent that LSU was VERY much in a battle win vs. say the quick blowout vs. Bama. Yet, in that moment, (a game that ultimately turned the momentum around to close out the season) the staff clearly felt a true freshman was a better option to insert than any of the 2019 class.
I'm not saying these guys can't become good players. But you have to admit things don't look great when you are being passed up for guys a year younger and LESS experienced.

People expect immediate results and that’s not always the case.

I agree with you on last year’s class. I think Martinez, Hill, and Dumervil will all get meaningful playing time down the road.
