I had my last cell phone for 12 years and only replaced it because my carrier starting jan 1st upgraded everything and it would o longer work.
Stop buying phones designed to break or phones designed to not be repairable (apple).
Get what is known as a rugged phone. Drop it on purpose, use it under water, it doesn't care.
