From LSUSports.net....
ESPN and ESPN2 will continue to offer premier SEC games, including Saturday night and two primetime Thursday football games

What is the general consensus on Thursday Night games in Tiger Stadium?

I hope we dont become a Thursday night regular like Virginia Tech and Rutgers. What do y'all think?

It would not be logistcaly possible. You're talking about bringing in mobile homes and all the riff raff on a Wednesday night. Kicking the students out of their parking lots after 5:00pm. Not to mention the amount of empty seats from ticket holders not able to come down except for weekends.

ESPN already shows SEC games on Thursday nights. At least a couple per year. LSU won't touch them, though.

NO SEC school has an off campus stadium.
South Carolina, Vandy, Stanford, Colorado and Oregon State all host Thursday night games in the first four weeks of this year. All of these schools have on campus stadiums. Rutgers and USF also host in the first 4 weeks and have off campus stadiums. M O S T of them have on campus stadiums.

Not too long ago, there was a Monday Night game in Tiger Stadium.

Thursday night games a possibilty, but I certainly hope not.

Classes were cancelled on that Monday night game. They will not cancel class for a Thursday game, which is the only way it would be possible. It can't happen.

Idiot.

I seem to remember a few extenuating circumstances that required us to play on Monday night. Let's hope it doesn't come to that again...

ESPN will have rights to every SEC home football game not on the network package and all league matchups will be shown on some outlet, including at least 20 a year on ESPN or ESPN2. That includes two primetime Thursday night matchups and Saturday night games

Kentucky's is basically off campus. It is on a satelite campus blocks from the main campus.

I guess this prevents the SEC from forming their own network like the Big Ten has
