I love how we're starting to focus more towards BOOT boys. They just represent! DBs, RBs, WRs, DLs, LBs are all right here. Yeah go get Qbs and OLs out of state and the occasional DB, DL, and LB like we have in the past from TX, GA, and Fl. BUT THE DUDES ARE HERE!!! LETS GEAUX!!!

Yes, but not as much the past two years. We've tried to go outside of state on guys when there is better options here.

Not really. This year we signed 6 of the top 10 players in the state. One still has to commit. One wanted to play safety and we wanted him at linebacker. One was a safety and we already signed the best safety in the country (from Louisiana) and the other was a wide receiver and we are good there.
Last year we signed 4 of the top 10 in a really weak Louisiana class.

LSU holds down the state of Louisiana pretty damn good. We get the instate guys we want over 90% of the time. Yeah there are a few high profile misses in the last decade or so (Cam Robinson, Devonta Smith, Landon Collins, Dylan Moses) but if you look at lists of top prospects from states like Georgia, Florida, or Texas and where they committed through the years, no one is keeping all the best players instate. LSU is better than most, possibly the best when it comes to building the fence.

But for comparison look at the state of Florida in:
2018 2019 2020
.......just three players in those three years’ top ten went to the gators.
Yes Fla is way different than La. But uf doesn’t keep talent in state like LSU does.
LSUs recruiting situation is unlike any other in the sec.
1. Only sec p5 program In state
2. Tucked perfectly between ms and tx.
3. Florida players like LSU.
4. Georgia players starting to like LSU.
I just wish Arkansas was Wisconsin so we could pipeline OLine south.
