With mardi gras in the crapper and the kids off school, we are renting and RV and headed to N AR. Any suggestions along the way? Was thiking about two nights in either pine bluff or hot springs before making our way further north. Will have two younger kids and would like to catch a few trout when we get to Eureka. Any suggestions on RV sites?

Hot Springs would be the better place to spend a night out of the two. I would also shorten the time spent in Hot Springs. I found North Arkansas to be way more enjoyable.

Stop in Mountain View and listen to some folk music. The town square at night is really awesome. Blanchard Springs cavern is also worth seeing.

WAY better than Pine Bluff. Keep in mind Heber Springs is in a dry county. So if you want some beer get it before you get there or else you're looking at a 45-minute drive.

If you're willing to drive to Heber before going to Eureka Springs, can I interest you in skipping that altogether for what is literally the best trout stream in the world?

Its two hours east of Eureka Springs. Its called Dry Run Creek and it borders the Norfork National Fish Hatchery in Mountain Home, AR.

Catch is, you have to be 16 and under to fish it. You can help your kids obviously, but you will never see bigger or more plentiful trout (brown and rainbow) for the rest of your life. And that's me short selling it.
