I don’t agree.

Both McGregor and Floyd have rabid fans who love them for their antics. Those people are likely douchebags. They also have people who dislike them quite a bit for their antics. Those people are likely sensible. I don’t think there’s anything unfair about Floyd having more black fans and McGregor having more white fans. And I’d guess that Floyd has WAY more white fans than McGregor does black fans.


Daly and Gronk(especially Daly) are much more than what you described them as. People can see their faults in Daly and relate a little bit. He and his career have followed a Hollywood movie style arc. The guy plays golf tournaments and then goes to the pub to play music for people. He’s very introspective and open.

There’s just a lot more to him than “he’s a drunk and whites wouldn’t root for a black drunk.”

Same with Gronk but to a MUCH lesser extent. The guy just never stop smiling and having fun and balling out. What black athlete do we not like that is similar to Gronk? There might be some, but are there even videos of him being a drunken disaster/a-hole?
