Thought the same thing when I first saw the movie but then did some reading and found this

Every anti-tank round fired by a US Army M-4 Sherman tank with the 75mm M3 gun had a tracer, by the time of the movie's story, after the 1944 Normandy Invasion.

Yea I know tracers.

But what was in the movie looked more like lasers than tracers.

You had red lasers coming from the US and green lasers coming from Germany. It was like Star Wars. Felt they should have toned it down a little.
