2 points, both valid and very true. In my experience, the "safest gamble" is usually ends up not being so safe. Not sure why, but through the years it always seems to go that way. Including, but not limited to, Bo Pelini.

What he has proven is he can motivate players, build & run an offense, and is pretty damn good at overall game planning. Both sides of the ball. He doesn't just "run his stuff"; he finds weaknesses and attacks them. He always seems to find a nerve ending. And what those do is brings excitement, a promise of doing "good", the hope of being "great", and slaying a giant every now and then. And that's exactly what TN needs.

Any program that worships Fulmer needs to just admit that AT BEST they are talking out of both sides of their mouth when it comes to any morals, ethics, or playing by the rules. So just suck it up, quit trying to convince yourself (because the rest of us, East & West, were never buying it in the first place), and take a gamble on Freeze (or someone like him).
