how so?

The gap in revenue will be way bigger than they are now. The clubs in the super league are essentially a closed system. By the time their spot is up for grabs the gap between those clubs and the ones outside the league will be so big the "others" will never be able to close it.

It essentially kills off any competitiveness left in the big leagues.

clubs who depend on match attendance will survive as they have been... the mid level clubs who depend on television may have to scale back a little bit, but they’ll survive too

There will still be a premier league and people will still watch it, even if it doesn’t have some big clubs in it
