Bama was hot last night. No One was going to beat them. Their water boy could probably hit 3s from mid court last night. Im not sure if any of their 3s even touched the rim.

like another poster said, if Bama shoots their regular 3-point % (35%), then they'd have only made 15 3-pt shots last night. That's 8 fewer, which is 24 points. Bama was up 39 with two minutes left, before we cut the margin late - so we'd still lose handily.

And that's not factoring in that Bama would've gotten a few second chance points off of those misses.

So yes, Bama was on fire, but that doesn't erase the fact that our defense was awful, and in fact a large part of Bama's success was precisely because our defense WAS so awful.

Exactly. This happens in basketball. I would be surprised if this did not happen to LSU (where LSU is the hot team) over the course of the year.
