I respectfully disagree, our family did Quandary after about 4 days of sleeping in Breck with little issue. I know several people who did it after a couple days too, or even 12 hours of time at altitude. As long as you’re willing to be patient with resting on the way up I think most reasonably in shape sea levelers could do Quandary

It’s doable, but you need to be out there for a few days before attempting it. A handful of years ago I made the mistake of trying to hike Mt Baldy on my first full day in Breck, and it was a nightmare trying to catch my breath, and I’m in very good shape.
This past summer we went for 13 days and I hiked Quandary on day 8 which made a HUGE difference. Didn’t have any trouble at all. The best part about the hike was running into a family of mountain goats about half way between the first and second ridge. I ended up doing some research and apparently they live on the mountain and you can see them on most hikes.
