In philosophical circles there can be a tendency to go too deeply into a topic, to get so far into the weeds of one's philosophical endeavor that a person may become destabilized to the point where what they're saying may seem perfectly rational -hell, even enlightened- to them but to the rest of the world it comes across as if they're talking out of their own arse.
It's because they are.
Their desperate search for the "truth" that would also fit their pre-conceptions eventually led them to the one place with enough shite to blind them to the real world long enough to delude themselves that their crackpot theories make sense, that place was by sticking their head up their own arse.
