That's because it was a lateral move. Not a promotion.
Nielsen will make double, get play calling experience and the Saints aren't playing the Tigers in week 3 at Jerry World. Not one conflict of interest.

No one is thinking about it in these terms except this idiotic forum. Nielsen will likely end up LSU DC and the average fan won't know or care about any of this. And it isn't a big deal.

The Saints might need to be reminded that the capitol is in Baton Rouge not New Orleans.
