Just to play devil’s advocate here, what are they going to be able to say about it without contradicting themselves?
They’ve been rattling on for almost 3 weeks about this violent insurrection/coup attempt that threatened all their lives, so now they've got all the security they could possibly need to make sure it doesn’t happen again and the inauguration is safeguarded. If they complain about it or admit that it’s excessive, it seems like they’d be completely undermining the narrative they committed to on 1/6.
