I’d assume self employed or through an adjusting firm. Not directly by a carrier.
So what’s the issue. Are they flat out denying the claim, excluding some items, etc?
If it’s a coverage issue, I’d just hire an attorney. You’ll end up paying for one in the end. If it’s more a scope of work concern, ie. they are excluding some areas you are claiming but allowing for others, you may need a specialist depending on the details (roofing, structural, forensic accountant, etc).
