Alabama's success for 2020 per Saban..

Saban said this about his leaders for the 2020 season:
“It makes his job very easy. When all of your big stars are not 'me, me, me' guys, it makes life easy as a coach. These guys put team above me, and that's the way it works. Very successful."
This is what LSU needed in 2020 and going forward.

If you want to dethrone Bama you 100% have to have a veteran team and a top 5 recruiting class.

Just like LSU’s 2019 team

This is what LSU had in 2019....then we lost everyone.

We will get there. Given the turbulent season we had; we needed players to step up and even coaches.
Not sure if it happened until end of season.

True dat! We just need to be consistent on that level each season. Despite how difficult it may be.

I think that's a lot of coach speak from Saban. In most cases, it's all about draft position.
If the players think they can substantially improve their draft position, they come back. If not, they go.
Now sure, a small number of players love the college game and want to win a championship, but most of them make their decision based on draft stock.
And at Bama, I think most players realize that they'll be very good every year and surrounded by great players that will make them look better, so their odds of improving their draft stock is high.

This board needs to stop sucking Alabama’s dick
Then and only then will LSU come out on top

I can see LSU successfully creating that culture again.
That’s exactly the way LSU was in 2019. They can do it again.

Sounds like LSU 2019. Be thankful for what you had not envious of others.

Well we were exactly that with “one team, one heartbeat”... then it went to shite. There was no leadership.

Probably the most fricked up logic I have ever seen on the rant.

it also helps that they were the only team in the country with zero "reported" covid cases the entire season (even though their coach got it "twice")

Yes - that -- AND having the DC be interviewed & vetted properly --- not just "come on over, Bo"

All the adversity and unexpected playing time the freshmen and sophomores dealt with this year is going to pay huge dividends down the road in regards to leadership and experience.

Many of the draft eligible ALA players were pissed about getting beat at home by LSU in 2019. Since they didn't make the playoffs, the upperclassmen and leaders came back to prove a point in 2020. ALA players and coaching staff are indoctrinated from Day 1 to believe in "the process" and there is no room for complacency. Saban preaches this during recruiting visits as 18-19 yr old kids are motivated by winning rings and playing for the greatest CFB HC. Based on the proven machine that he has created, it's easy to sell to top level recruits across the country. They're obviously beatable when a team has talented athletic leaders, solid coaching, and you take advantage of their mistakes .. i.e. LSU 2019

What happened to Alabama is what happened to LSU--they all got it in the summer before the season. Alabama's goals didn't fall apart immediately though and the players did their job to stay out of contact tracing. We weren't really that hit by covid either, we just didn't have a full roster.

Do you honestly believe that our fan message board impacts the teams work ethics and team building?
