I hate to say it M, but our Nation has lost it's Spiritual vision in many ways. Sure, people go to their church, but deep down, those who've been around for a while and know just how far we have slipped into Consumerism (Idolatry), Narcissism (Vanity) and self-service in ways that allowed the weak in our populous to 'enjoy' freedom in ways that they obviously should not and expect them to do the "boot straps" thing...well, it is not surprising that our society fails.

We throw the kids in a day care, march off to 'prosperity', and dream of the day we can stop doing what we are, and 'retire'. The true bond in many families, is not there; hell, the kids prefer a laptop over real interaction.

Freedom requires wisdom; and with God-given Rights, come God-given responsibilities; "ye are bought with a price". Jesus laid out those responsibilities pretty clearly.

I believe that the people in our Nation are God's chosen. We live in a beautiful and bountiful land; and we are the most loving people on the Earth. "To whom much is given, much is required". There has been a learning curve re our Freedom. Many see the next 'level'; but that is Monday morning quarterbacking. Now...the consequences of our learning curve, are upon us.

The Godless Marxist step into a societal vacuum that our own lack of wisdom and will allowed. They exploit Envy, and a sense of injustice and victimhood on the part of those whose abilities in a competitive economic model, are lacking. And off to war we go.

I lament our Nation's passing; but I rejoice in what is on the other side of a "fundamental transformation". It will NOT be what those who - with envy and spite and payback in their hearts - imagine said 'transformation' to be. They'll get their pound of flesh, but half will be their own.

Jesus foretold these times. He also asserted the outcome. They say that people who climb great mountains, don't see the obstacles...just the top. It is time for Christians to raise their game...because there are only TWO possibilities. One being there is no god, and no hope, or consolation for the eternal loss of life. Second being, that we indeed are eternal Souls - children of a loving God - destined to glory. If it's the latter, what's a few years of hardship, for and education that will pave the road to heavenly reward (measured accordingly; no Communism up there ). And of course, made possible by the mercy of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Good post. God speed, Brother.

In my recent posts over the last couple of days, I comment on my observations WRT this process that you've identified: the Replacement of Societal Values from what was to what is and will be.

I've observed that these Protestant Values grew in a Society that was observant and Protestant: the American Society. Long after the time when our People were observant, we clung to these values. Now those values are being Replaced. Now, we will see the very definition of "American Values" being changed.

During the late 19th and Early 20th Centuries, millions of immigrants migrated to the USA. They were "Americanized" over the course of some generations. They were "Americanized" in the Values that were embedded in our Society back then. We were all "Americanized" in those
Values to some extent, even if we were not new immigrants.

Now, during this 21st Century, IMHO, we will see a development that will consist of a re-definition of the process of "Americanization", and even a change in the meaning of the idea of being "Un-American".

"What it means to be an American", as a phrase that has meaning, is changing right now before our very eyes.

How far Left can we go? We'll have to wait and see.

Bottom Line: If, in the future, you want to be a "Good American", you may have to change your Values system to align more closely with the Values of our society and country. If you don't, you might be called "Un-American."
