I wonder if he could call attention to it through the proper channels at the university instead of making it an issue for the media. I don’t know that he went to the media with it himself, but this is a newspaper article with direct quotes from Deion.

Prime’s beef isn’t with JSU and how they’re allocating funds.

I get your point. People pay for what they value, so more dollars are obviously going to flow to the Bama’s and OSU’s of the world and not so much to JSU.

But that’s only part of the story. Much of college football is subsidized, whether that’s through the conferences sharing TV revenue, bowl affiliations, direct revenue sharing with opponents, etc. So Prime has a point here. It’s not like Kansas (for example) is working that much harder or doing that much better on the playing field than a SWAC/FCS team, but their facilities as a P5 program are better by an order of magnitude.

Now, I have no idea what to do about that. But again, Prime has a point here.
