I don’t get this argument because most vaccinations we get are for illnesses that likely won’t kill you. For most people it’s avoid getting sick and to crate a herd immunity.

Most people who contract Covid-19 have either cold symptoms or no symptoms at all. It's a mild virus to the vast majority of people.
Give the vaccine to the elderly and immunocompromised, and the pandemic is over.
