If they run out of room, it’s gonna happen. They can fill a super quickly on a good flow. I run all deeps. Last Friday put an empty deep of drawn comb on. This Friday it’s slap full.

And yes. Your colony was kicking arse. Those pics you posted, that queen was killing it.

Also, I’m sure you’re sick about it. Ive been there….every season just learn from it and keep at it.

So I guess my next question is, what now? Wait a couple of weeks to see if I have a mated queen laying eggs? If not, re-queen?

I’m actually not that bothered by it. I’m a little upset cause that was a hell of a good queen that left. I just had no idea this could happen so quickly.

What are the odds I lose the hive over this?
