Depends on the voice actor, sometimes they talk so damn slow it isn’t like a normal conversation.
Edit: At most I would bump it to 1.25, good example is the powder mage series. I was listening on 1.25 and it sounds like normal speaking. Can’t imagine playing that in the normal speed setting.

I try to get to 2.0 speed usually on my nonfication if possible, sometimes can get higher and sometimes have to go to 1.75 - 1.5 at the slowest. I am just impatient.

The one I’m listening to now this guy talks slow with pauses. The podcast app I use has a feature where it takes out pauses without speeding up the words. Wish the hoopla app did that.
